All-around interesting porn fellow Alex de Renzy wrote, directed and produced Fantasy Girls. But while some of his other movies tend to tackle weirder and more niche-oriented pornographic settings, Fantasy Girls is surprisingly a very stereotypical and simple male fantasy turned into a movie.

The story revolves around a San Francisco massage parlor and the girls who work there. Obviously, this is not your average spa treatment, but a classic rub and tug place. While some actors shine brighter than others — Claire James as a decisive masseuse/Queen B in charge; Jamie Gillis as a submissive guy in search for a stern massage and more; Tessie Lynn as a candidly horny aspiring fortune teller and self-described Filipino love kitten — the billing is split very democratically and it’s very clearly an ensemble piece.

Retro Porn Reviews - Fantasy Girls

A couple of the girls did look a little green, acting-wise, but the naïve approach kind of works in their favor as young cute sex-workers (which is essentially what they were in real life.)

There were some storylines that could have used more exploration and didn’t. A new girl arrives after her boyfriend wasted no time to pimp her out for quick cash suggested she could get a job at the massage parlor. A subplot with him taking half the girls to open his own place is mentioned, but not really explored. The action — aside from the sex, obviously — is kept to a minimum, as the intention seems to be to let the story remain light-hearted.

Except for that one golden shower scene, of course.

Now, while the massage parlor is the main location, there seems to be a delivery system, as one of the girls takes a little field trip to the Hilton, where a couple awaits for a fun threesome. Meanwhile, another girl goes out to take care of a mustachioed dude who everyone seems to warn her is quite the intense fuck. Her boyfriend takes advantage of her late-night gig to entertain her very MILF-y mother back at home.

An older Swedish woman who believes in actual therapeutic massages and doesn’t seem to participate in anything sexual is used as comedic relief while cleaning most messes. Good ol’ Jenny gets the last laugh, as she unexpectedly welcomes a younger lover by the end of the film.

If you’re a tug job fan, this movie will probably give you enough to keep your interest. There are a lot of sex scenes, and in general the movie meets its purpose. Is it the best De Renzy film? Hardly, but it does the job.
