Porn star legend Nina Hartley once called Juliet Anderson “the original cougar.” Anderson, who started her adult film career already in her late 30s and who you might recognize as Kay Parker’s insatiable and pushy friend on the classic Taboo (also released in 1980), was 41 at the time Aunt Peg was shot, and while several starlets had gone the MILF-y way before, it’s hard to deny Anderson’s status as the ultimate middle aged man-eater of her time.

Aunt Peg was directed by Anthony Spinelli, who had previously done the well-received SexWorld, and it revolves around Peg Norton, a successful movie producer whose fame suggested mainstream recognition, though all the material we saw her shoot in the movie was pornographic.

Peg was a born producer. She was constantly active, always in control and with a knack to milk every single privilege her fame and position presented her with, in particular any kind of sexual opportunity. She was definitely not afraid of speaking her mind, as she directed and controlled every second of every sex scene she was ever in. Men and women of all kinds were all in the menu, and in a very short time frame Peg managed to fuck her assistant, her brother-in-law, her new director, a new starlet, her secretary, the occasional threesome-bound girlfriend and last but definitely not least — in an especially cringe-worthy moment near the end — her 16-year-old niece.

This movie is all about Anderson and her seemingly unstoppable sex drive. Although it features good performances by several of the biggest names in the industry (John Holmes, Serena, Jamie Gillis, Seka, Mike Ranger, Sharon Kane), it’s hard to steal Anderson’s thunder.

The Taboo connection, of course, goes a little farther than Anderson’s participation and the prevalence of older women being the focus of the film. While Aunt Peg doesn’t lean as heavily on the incest-focused theme Taboo dealt with, there was a… familiar feeling. In a pretty representative scene, Peg had sex with her sister’s husband. Her niece (the dude’s daughter) watched most of it, and presumably was turned on by it. So after peeping for a few minutes, she slammed the door really hard on her way out — which somehow Aunt Peg and the girl’s dad didn’t hear — and ran off to her room to blow her boyfriend.

One thing that makes Aunt Peg stand out considerably around her competition at the time is the length of the sex scenes. During the 70s, plots were more common, and the actual sex scenes wouldn’t last a whole lot. There is considerably more sex time on this film than clothed. The plot seems almost irrelevant, and it becomes more about giving you an idea of what Peg’s everyday life was like; which essentially means a lot of fucking.

The character was big enough to get Anderson recognized as “Aunt Peg” for many years after; in fact, a lot of people don’t know even her by her stage name, they just know her as “Aunt Peg.”

If you’re into mature women having her way with… well, everyone, while her dirty talk, foot jobs and unbridled sexual enthusiasm takes her whole world by storm, then you might certainly enjoy Aunt Peg.
