BDSM has somehow made it to the mainstream in 2015, guys. We get it, 50 Shades of Grey is a terribly written and wildly unimaginative book/movie; we agree. The good thing about it, though, is that it’s brought bondage and domination into the conversation in places that wouldn’t welcome it in the past. And now that they have everybody’s attention, it’s time for much better versions of it.

Cue James Deen. The well-known male porn star and director is releasing his own take on it with the fetish-filled new film Black and Blue, through his own company James Deen Productions.

The feature is your classic love story of submission and dominance. A young woman named Alison (Jade Nile) lead a normal and monotonous life until she accidentally met Patrick (James Deen), a cocky businessman who becomes intrigued by Alison and unleashes a thorough introduction for her into the BDSM world.

“Jade Nile was the perfect leading lady for this project. She is an amazing actress and did a great job with the dialogue. She also has a natural fascination with the BDSM world and engaging in this movie gave her a way to further explore her interests,” Deen said in the press release. “The character she plays is being introduced to a world of domination and submission and Jade was very easily able to draw from real life to make the character come to life.”

Nile herself was very excited about working with Deen, her experience shooting the film and the growing popularity of bondage and domination. “I incorporate BDSM in my personal life and my ongoing sexual development,” she later said. “I love how BDSM is moving more to the forefront of culture, and I think we did a great job of capturing it. I really hope Black & Blue helps inspire people to explore BDSM in their own bedrooms.”

The film also features the amazing Janice Griffith as Tiffany, Alison’s materialistic and hot friend, whom Patrick also manages to steer into the BDSM lifestyle.

The name “Black & Blue” was previously used by Deen to promote a line of sex toys that carry his name, including gags, blindfolds, paddles, several kinds of restraints and dildos molded out of Deen’s penis.

The film is out already, and is available through distributor Girlfriends Films.
