The second season of Drunk History has just premiered on Comedy Central and I have to say, there is just something so satisfying about hearing history recounted by someone slurring and trying to keep their liquor. Remember the time when you would drunkenly argue with your mates over some stupid topic and you’d think it was brilliant and that you should’ve recorded it for future reference? Well, it appears that’s what was going through Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner’s minds when they created this web series for Funny or Die (now on Comedy Central).

This is how the show works. In each episode they get a willing comedian to retell a story from American History – after they drink a bottle or two (or three) or wine, tequila, or whatever their alcohol of preference is. Then actors (usually famous actors like Jack Black, Winona Ryder, Kristen Wiig and more) try to reenact the story as told by the drunken historian – by lipsyncing the narrator’s slurred words, burps and giggles and all. It. Is. Hilarious. I can’t wait till they move on to world history. Check out some of their best videos:
