Girlfriends Films Celebrates Caitlyn Jenner Coming Out by Donating to Charity

Looks like the good folks at Girlfriend Films are out spreading cheer through their charity program by celebrating Caitlyn Jenner and her gender transformation. The lesbian adult studio has chosen to donate US$1,000 to the National Center for Transgender Equality in Jenner’s name – and are calling upon other companies in the industry to match its donation and help support the transgender community.

Each month, Girlfriends Films donates to a charity selected by its employees, performers, directors, and adult industry principals. And while their offer to Jenner to either direct or appear in an erotic education movie raising awareness for the transgender community was politely declined, they wish to continue to show support of Jenner’s transition by donating to a charity.

“Everyone at Girlfriends Films was inspired by Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover and her story,” says Girlfriends Films President Moose.  “We were very sincere in making our movie offer in order to help bring even more awareness, support, and money to the transgender community.  However, we also want to applaud Caitlyn’s transition through our charity program.”

“I invite our friends and colleagues in the adult industry to join us in donating to National Center for Transgender Equality,” adds Moose.  “We in the adult movie-making industry have been judged and marginalized by society for decades and have great compassion for other individuals who are fighting for acceptance and tolerance.”

The National Center for Transgender Equality was founded in 2003 by transgender activists who recognized the urgent need for policy change to advance transgender equality.  Providing a powerful transgender advocacy presence in Washington, DC, NCTE is composed of a team of hard-working staff members and supported by a nationwide community of transgender people, allies, and advocates with an extensive record of winning life-saving change for transgender people.
