The Stunning Work of Artist Ray Caesar

Ray Caesar was born in London in 1958 but moved to his current residence of Toronto, Canada, when he was very young. Cited by many as the grandfather of digital art, his work somehow manages to seem both of a bygone era of classic painting and absolutely very much of the now. Sensual, surreal, and sometimes even verging on a particularly aesthetic sort of madness, Caesar’s work is very much possessed of a fascinating, hypnotic quality.

As fellow artist John Purlia puts it: “Tucked away in the supernatural blueprint of Ray Caesar’s imagination there lies a secret maze of passages were time, memory and experience twist together to reveal hidden rooms of thrilling discovery. Were one to walk these halls and dare peek into the chambers beyond, each cubbyhole would be filled with mystery, wonder and bewildering conjecture.”

Maybe it’s better if you all just see for yourselves…
