Jimmy was born on the mean streets of Brooklyn. He would pick fights with the mailman and win. As a child he would ride his bicycle around his block paying specific attention to the creepy house on the corner that so obviously housed a witch.
Sad times came when be became a child of a broken home. Family life was torn asunder as he was plucked from the streets of Brooklyn and dropped into a small Victorian mountain town where the predominant color scheme was white. While in this mountain town, Jimmy, cultivated his love for theatre and science fiction. He mixed X-Files with Gypsy and Star Trek: The Next Generation with Fiddler on The Roof.
Once he graduated high school, Jimmy went off to a huge University on the East Coast to study Theatre and minor in History and Jewish Studies. He took a year to study abroad in Europe. This lit a fire in his belly to see the world; it also set his bank account on fire and he came back broke. Upon completing University, Jimmy moved back to New York City to fulfill his dreams of gracing the stages of Broadway. However, he ended up working in a call center answer insipid questions from people who could have drowned in the shower.
After drudging through this job for six brutal years, Jimmy had a breakdown on the subway one morning. He went stark raving mad on the Manhattan bound E train, causing massive delays from Jamaica Center to Ground Zero. He vowed then and there to get the hell out and go back to Europe. He worked hard for many months to cobble together the money. Once he finally did, he bade New York farewell and hopped across the Atlantic to find love and wealth and fame in Europe.
He hasn’t found any of those things but he did find happiness. It’s funny what you can learn to live without, like regular meals and healthcare… wait a minute… He already knows how to live without healthcare… He’s American! Since coming on board with the magazine, Jimmy has realized a lot of the crazy ideas he’s kept locked away in his brain. Never one to write when forced to he excels at writing for money. You can try and catching him galavanting around Europe, leading a life most people would be jealous of because he’s found his peace and it does not have a 9-to-5 mentality. Also he likes trains so go take a train somewhere. It’ll do you good.
